From stereoscopic 3D to immersive and AI-driven experiences in development, Parallell Cinéma follows one throughline: producing ambitious stories with genuine production intelligence.
A production practice forged in difficult images.
Parallell Cinéma has built rare expertise on formats where the image is not simply shot: a setup must be designed, the right language found, the set secured, the control room held, and a method passed on.
This culture runs through music videos, series, documentaries, institutional shoots, live capture and research projects. It was also shared through training and publishing, notably with Stereo 3D Filmmaking: The Complete Interactive Course, written and co-directed by David Steiner, winner of the Dimension 3 2010 award and later used by stereoscopic professionals.
Custom-built setups.
Stadiums, concerts, youth TV sets, art documentaries, real-location shoots: Parallell’s know-how also comes from this variety. The challenge changes every time, but the demand stays the same: technique must serve the image without taking the story’s place.

Missions with broadcasters, institutions and partners.
Parallell Cinéma has also carried out technical consulting, training and workflow support missions in very different environments: stereoscopic 3D, rigs, live capture, broadcast standards, postproduction and shooting setups.
The point is less to detail every past project than to show a working habit: enter a constrained context, understand the teams, then build an image solution that holds up in the field.
The same instinct now works through immersive storytelling, virtual production and AI.
The Place Beyond, co-produced with The Difference Machine, extends this approach: an immersive experience where AI, technology, storytelling and staging move forward together.
The project received the 2025 CPH:DOX × Onassis ONX award, was supported by CPH:LAB, and was presented in international contexts including Immersive Tech Week and the NewImages Festival market.
Publications, press, training.
The methods developed by Parallell have been covered in specialist press and technical texts, including Le Livre Blanc du Relief and La Imagen Tactil. This work has also led to professional training in France and internationally.
Accumulated experience
Absorb a technical constraint, produce the image, work with creative teams, then turn the experience into method — that is what has guided our work.

TV and art formats
Series, short documentaries, the Sculpture 3D collection, youth programs: varied formats where Parallell works as producer, co-producer or technical partner.

Image and method
Stereoscopy, live capture, consulting, postproduction, training: a practice that adapts to set realities and broadcasters’ needs.

Immersive and AI
The same production culture supports current projects, including The Place Beyond, at the crossroads of immersive experience, staging and AI.
